Dangerous Foods For Dogs

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dave_Tee]Dave Tee

Many of us are completely unaware of just how many foods can be dangerous for our Dogs.

I am sure many of us know the perils of overfeeding our animals, but are not aware just how many foodstuffs we can eat are detrimental to our Dogs health.

Take grapes for example. Fine for us but Grapes or Raisins are very bad for our Dogs health.

It is the same for Garlic and Onions. They can have an adverse effect on our Dogs health. They should only be given in the smallest of doses, but to be safe, never at all.

Raw Pork can also be dangerous and can give our Dogs an incurable condition. Luckily, however, freezing Pork or Pork bones for three weeks makes them completely safe for our Dogs.

We all know that Chocolate should never be given to the Dogs. It is not lethal in small doses but to be on the safe side it is best avoided.

Avocados should also never be given. The skin, flesh and stone are all off limits for the Dogs.

Macadamias are one of the most dangerous nuts for Dogs. Many others are in question and it would be wise to avoid all nuts if you have any concerns.

One of the biggest problems is bones. Raw bones are great for your Dogs health and will do nothing but good. Cooked bones on the other hand are definitely out. They can splinter easily and cause all kinds of internal problems. Ranging from internal blockages to splinters lodging in their mouths you should never give a Dog a cooked bone.

Be aware of the many dangers certain have for Dogs and you will have a happy and healthy Dog for many years to come.
